ki <br />January 4, 2022 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 6:30 P.M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were Council President Tom Warthen, Councilman Dustin Stanley, Councilman <br />Shane Williams, and Councilman Greg Swinney. Councilman Jeff Cook attended via electronic device. <br />Town attorney Cho-il Lee was present. <br />Councilman Warthen gave the prayer. <br />Reorganization - Councilman Cook made the Motion for Councilman Warthen to remain President and <br />Seconded by Councilman. Motion carried 4 -1. Councilman Williams opposed. <br />Councilman Swinney made the Motion to nominate Councilman Stanley for Vice President. Councilman <br />Cook seconded. Motion carried 5 -0 <br />Councilman Stanley made the Motion to approve the minutes of the December 21, 2021 meeting and <br />was seconded by Councilman Swinney. Motion Carried 5-0 <br />Unfinished Business — <br />Gateway Fixes - Councilman Williams addressed the issues with the traffic snarls and torch lights not <br />functioning. He would like to see Dave Moore review the traffic study for possible solutions. In addition, <br />the lights on the torches are not working correctly and have proven difficult to fix. Councilman Williams <br />made a motion to allow Dave Moore to find alternate lighting sources for the two torches. The sources <br />should include but are not limited to LOBO projection lighting, projection mapping lighting, panel <br />wrapping with spotlighting. The goal is to have pricing options for working lighting and other features <br />to increase awareness that the torches are part of the state flag theme. Reporting back to the council at <br />the first meeting of March 2022, Councilman Swinney seconded Motion carried 5-0 (Exhibit A attached) <br />Councilman Williams described the types of lighting he mentioned. GOBO would project images as a <br />fixed image projection light or moving images. The wrapping would involve vinyl wrapping the panels <br />and installing spotlights. <br />Councilman Williams made a motion to review the traffic study to improve the traffic flaw. Reporting <br />back to the council during the first meeting in April 2022. Councilman Stanley seconded Motion carried <br />5-0 (Exhibit B attached) <br />
