February 1 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm at the Mooresville Public Library. The board members <br />were Mark Taylor, Brian Wiser, Lynn Adams, Danny Shaw, Erin Bechtold, Matt Saner, and David <br />Pearson. Supt. Kris Wilson, Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman, and guest Josh Brown <br />Supt. Wilson informed the board non -reverting numbers might need to be adjusted from the Jan. <br />meeting. More details from the clerk's office to come. <br />Minutes of January 10, 2022, approved as presented. Motion made by Danny Shaw, seconded by <br />Brian Wiser. Motion carried. <br />Wilson informed the Board of 2022 contracts that need to be signed. Approval was made in January; <br />signatures are required in February. <br />Board signed contracts. <br />Supt. Wilson updated the Board on the Summer Concert Series. RD Productions and Park marketing <br />printed and online will be closer to the dates of the concerts. Food trucks are also being scheduled <br />and finalized within the next couple of months. <br />Wilson informed the Board about the pool heater. The Town Council approved the purchase of a pool <br />heater at the January 18 meeting for $41,635, including freight from Buddenbaum & Moore LLC. Supt. <br />Wilson ordered the heater the next day, and we should have a delivery timeline in the next few weeks. <br />Board Member Taylor asked about the cornhole boards. The cornhole boards are being stored <br />appropriately on-site until the concrete can be poured and location determined. <br />The Assistant Superintendent search committee will begin interviewing candidates within the month. <br />The Town did an in-depth appraisal over the summer (inventory of vehicles, etc.). We received the <br />Park's information, and some of the reports had mixed information between departments and notified <br />the Clerk's Office. <br />Supt. Wilson asked permission for a special event request from the Jackson Center to do a portion of <br />their walk on Sunday, May 15, at Pioneer Park. Motion to approve the special event request and waive <br />the fee, with requirement of a certificate of insurance. Motion made by Mark Taylor, seconded by <br />David Pearson. Motion carried. <br />The Park Office has been undergoing some renovation, mold was detected and we asked Mold <br />Diagnostics to do some testing. We are working on identifying potential sources of moisture within <br />the office area and have begun to do a thorough cleaning of all items. Most soft surfaces have been <br />removed at the recommendation of Mold Diagnostics. The phone line has been forwarded to Office <br />Manager Freeman and Wilson, Freeman, and Rec Coord. Nick Millspaugh are working outside the <br />Park Office until further testing is received. <br />
