Wayne Roberts with Al Indiana
Water Proofing talked about the issue causing the water in the property next to Bicentennial Park. The
plan is to relieve the pressure off the brick wall. This estimate includes trenching out and treating the
53ft long basement wall, an application of tar, membrane barrier, gravel, and installing J -Channel
drains. This system would drain water into the city's storm sewer. Supt. Wilson will need to check with
the Town (Dave Moore) and potentially the Redevelopment Commission. The Town will need to be
involved in draining water into the city storm system. Supt. Wilson will also need to talk with
Redevelopment Commission to fund the repairs.
Supt Wilson informed the Board of the Mooresville Downtown Street Fair. Supt. Wilson received all
requirements and additional information from the April meeting.
The pre -Bid meeting for bridge rebuilding was May 2. Two bids were received for the bridge's
rebuilding.
Two companies that submitted bids were Sunco Construction and FinMar Construction. Board
President Bechtold opened bids. We are waiting to hear back some suggested dates and times. The group is inquiring if
they supplied their snow fencing to enclose the space they would be working. Would it be allowed for
dogs to run off -leash and do frisbee work? Discussion ensued. Park Board would like to have all dogs
on a leash to stay consistent with Park Rules.
