1'773 <br />August 2, 2022 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in a joint session with the Mooresville Police Commission on <br />Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 6:30pm at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council Members present were: president, Tom Warthen and Councilmen Dustin Stanley, Greg <br />Swinney, Jeff Cook and Shane Williams. Police Commission members present were: <br />Christopher Hobbick, William Settle and Ernest Wilson. Town Attorney, Chou-il Lee was also <br />present. <br />Tom Warthen gave the invocation and called both the Town Council and police Commission <br />meetings to order. <br />Approval of the minutes from the July 19, 2022 meeting— Motion was made by Councilman <br />Stanley, second by Councilman Cook to approve the minutes as written. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Restoration Impact Contract —The contract with Restoration Impact for the demolition of 1 & 3 <br />Last Main Street, was forwarded to Council by Legal for their review. Payment will be made <br />from the CCD Fund, Legal confirmed that any subcontractors that are used will fall under the <br />contract and any incidences that mi occur are. covered under the insurance of Restoration <br />impact. <br />A motion was made to appove the contact with Restoration Impact by Councilman Stanley, <br />srr,cond b,l CouncilryarySwhnney. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Old Settler's Pane Route - tenm Chief rock Chipman confirmed that he was told the route <br />would return to the old route, In i o Main ti)—maple to St Clair. Councilman Stanley stated <br />was told by the representative that sub ed the request that they were returning to the <br />old route, as well. <br />Appointing of new Police Chief President Warthen explained that because Mooresville is a <br />L <br />Metropolitan Police Department, they have a th olice Commission, who are <br />
