August 8, t' The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm at the Mooresville Park Office. In attendance, the board members were Lynn Adams, Danny Shaw, Erin Bechtold, Matt Saner, Mark Taylor, and David Pearson. Supt. Kris Wilson, Asst. Supt. Keelan Simpson and Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman. Guests include Shawn Heuchan. Minutes of July 11, 2022, approved as presented. Motion made by Lynn Adams, seconded by David Pearson. Motion carried. Special Session Minutes of July 15, 2022, approved as presented. Motion made by Matt Saner, seconded by David Pearson. Motion carried. The meeting started with a discussion of the street fair using Bicentennial Park. The Park has not had further contact, information, or requests regarding the Street Fair. Additionally, the certificate of insurance on file has expired. The Town Council knows permission has not been granted to use Bicentennial Park. Board Member Taylor asked Supt. Wilson to talk with legal counsel to update our Park Rules and Regulations. The Office Renovation updates windows have been installed, and visitor chairs are ordered. The Town Council and attorney are still reviewing the contract for replacing HVAC units. Supt. Wilson submitted a proposal to install the cornhole boards in Pioneer Park and Old Town Park.. The proposal was to replace two horseshoe courts with two cornhole boards. If approved cornhole will be installed by the end of September. Motion to approve the proposed cornhole installation made by Matt Saner, seconded by Lynn Adams. Motion carried. On July 12, 2022, Brian Wiser formally announced his resignation from the Park Board. A Park Board Democrat seat is open. The 2023 Budget was submitted to the Clerk -Treasurer on July 20. A budget workshop with the Town Council is scheduled for September 6 at 5: 30p A special request for Cub Scout Pack 231 campout at Pioneer Park. The requested campout date is September 26, and the location will be behind the aquatic center. Motion to approve the Cub Scout Pack 231 campout by Mark Taylor, seconded by David Pearson. Motion carried. Brown Township Life Star Ambulance Reunion made a special request for a waived shelter fee at OTP on September 24. Motion to approve and waive the cost for shelter for the Life Star Ambulance reunion made by David Pearson, seconded by Mark Taylor. Motion carried.
