Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Ernie Wilson <br />Fred Settle <br />Christopher Hobbick <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />These are the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission, <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on September 15, 2022. <br />Members Present: Ernie Wilson, Christopher Hobbick, and Fred Settle (Via telephone) <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from July 21, 2022 meeting. Fred Settle <br />seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from July 29, 2022 meeting. Fred Settle <br />seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from July 29, 2022 executive meeting. Fred <br />Settle seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from August 18, 2022 meeting. Fred Settle <br />seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from August 2, 2022 joint meeting between <br />the Mooresville Town Board and the Mooresville Police Commission. The Clerk Treasurer took <br />the meeting minutes. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />No old business from the Police Commission. <br />No old business from the Chief of Police. <br />No new business from the Police Commission. <br />Chief Buckner spoke about the promotion process for the open sergeant and lieutenant positions. <br />Chief Buckner advised that the current SOP covering promotions was confusing so he made <br />changes to the SOP, making it uniform in the standards. Chief Buckner advised that he had four <br />applicants for the sergeant position and one applicant for the lieutenant position. Ernie Wilson <br />made a motion to accept the changes to the SOP. Fred Settle seconded. Some discussion took <br />place. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chris Hobbick stated that the police commission would hold an executive session to interview <br />the candidate for the open lieutenant position. Fred Settle advised that Councilman Jeff Cook <br />
