MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES <br />Thursday, <br />Thursday, lune 1, 2023 6:00pm <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Brian Culp, Erin Pipkin, Shane Williams, Dana Heidenreich and Ryan <br />Taylor were present. School representative Dr. Jake Allen was absent. Project Manager Chelsey Manns <br />was present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. <br />Commissioner Taylor called the meeting to order and led the group in the pledge followed by an <br />invocation by Commissioner Culp. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the April 6, 2023 regular meeting. Commissioner Heidenreich <br />asked the Fire Station portion be stricken as it was redundant from a previous meeting. With that <br />modification, he moved to approved the minutes. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion, which <br />carried 5-0. Minutes from May 4, 2023 executive session and public meeting were presented. <br />Commissioner Culp made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Commissioner Pipkin <br />seconded the motion, which carried 3-0-2 (Williams and Heidenreich). <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office via email. Commissioner Pipkin <br />made the motion to approve financials as presented. Commissioner Culp seconded the motion, which <br />carried. <br />Old Business: <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: Manns shared that Indianapolis French Investments Corp <br />is scheduled to close by June 19th. Amendment 1 to the Purchase Agreement was presented by <br />Manns, reflecting the sales price to be $1,160,442.00. That is $69,000 per acre for the 16.818 <br />acres of land that was advertised. The sale will include an additional +/-2 acres in the northeast <br />corner of the property that it will not charge for. Commissioner Culp made the motion to <br />approve Amendment 1 to the Purchase Agreement as presented. Commissioner Heidenreich <br />seconded the motion, which carried. <br />Manns shared the Buffers USA deal on the shell building should be closing by the end of July. <br />There have been some discussion on issues regarding the roof and items related to wear and <br />tear to an existing vacant building.
