MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES <br />Thursday, <br />Thursday, December 7, 2023 6:OOpm <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Brian Culp, Erin Pipkin, Shane Williams, Ryan Taylor and Dana <br />Heidenreich were present. School representative Dr. Jake Allen was absent. Project Manager Chelsey <br />Manns was present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. <br />Commissioner Taylor called the meeting to order and followed with an invocation. <br />Public Hearing: Commissioner Culp made the motion to open the Build -Operate -Transfer (BOT) public <br />hearing. Commissioner Pipkin seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. There were no public <br />comments. Commissioner Culp made the motion to close the BOT public hearing. Commissioner <br />Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the November 2, 2023 public meeting. Commissioner <br />Heidenreich made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Commissioner Culp seconded the <br />motion, which carried 4-0-1 (Williams). <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office via email. Commissioner Culp made <br />the motion to approve the financials as presented. Commissioner Pipkin seconded the motion, which <br />carried 5-0. <br />Old Business: <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: Manns is working with V3 on the signal coordination at SR67 and <br />Merriman Road. It is expected that the bidding process will take place in January. <br />Fire Station Update: Chief Dalton provided multiple quotes for a new digital sign for the fire station. <br />Sign Solutions provided two quotes for $41,470.00 and $47,405.00. DG Graphics quote was for <br />$50,992.07. Fast Signs provided a quote for $59,741.00. Grounded solutions provided the electrical <br />package for $5,931.33. After much discussion, Commissioner Pipkin made the motion to provide an <br />amount up to $50,000 to the fire department for the purpose of a new digital sign. Commission Culp <br />seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Patel Site Update: Manns noted that there is continued dialogue with the CTC, the only firm who <br />provided a response to the RFP. Banning Engineering, acting as engineer on behalf of the Town, has <br />
