<br />, <br /> <br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 1999,7:00 P. M. <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met on Thursday, March 25, 1999 at 7:00 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Commission members present were: President Joel Beebe, Charles McGuire, Alan Marshall, <br />Andy Pygman, John Ehrhart, and Mike Young. Commissioners' Kimmel, Abbott, and Bennett <br />were absent. Town Attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Ehrhart, second by Commissioner Marshall to approve the <br />meetings of the February meeting with two exceptions; change from a motion made to a request <br />made to temporarily appoint Mike Young to the Tech committee in the absence of Bill Abbott, <br />and delete motion was seconded and carried unanimously on page 3 for adjournment. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br /> <br />President Beebe stated there was a request for a continuance on the Wolfe Preliminary Plat <br />Approval. Speaking for the resident's group was attorney, Mr. Frank Hogan. He informed the <br />Commission he was just recently hired and had not had ample time to gather the facts. Attorney <br />O'Neal speaking for Carol Anderson involved with the Wolfe property said Ms. Anderson <br />approached him just this week and she wants the Plan Commission to go ahead tonight and <br />discuss the preliminary plat approval because the delay is causing her to lose money. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuire told the Commission there were eight items on the Tech Review <br />Committee list that need addressed; width to depth ratio, letter from county approving access as <br />drawn and acceptance of maintenance, source of title, street names, plans & specifications for <br />improvements, certification of deed of dedication for public street, sewer permits and all <br />easements required, and water supply to be used. Attorney Hogan requested the Commission to <br />decline Attorney O'Neal's request to go ahead tonight with hearing. After some discussion, <br />motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, second by Commissioner Young to grant a <br />continuance. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Ross Holloway of Holloway & Assoc. addressed the Commission concerning the Bodell rezone <br />of property on Highway 67. This had been withdrawn and re-advertised for March 25, 1999 <br />meeting. Mr. Holloway explained the surrounding properties were: Charmil Res. Addn, <br />Willwood Res. Addn., Morningside Res. Addn. , and P. Nicholson. He also stated across the <br />Highway 67 was 1-2 (Woods Wire), B-3 (a field and Mooresville Bowling Center), and 1-2 <br />(Swinney Bros.). Farther south was zoned PUD-I. The request is for forty acres bordering <br />Highway 67 to be zoned Industrial (unspecified) and to the North a lighter Industrial use with <br />100 feet of buffering including a wooded area. The Railroad bisects the parcel North and South <br />and a 500 or 100 year flood plain is east of the Railroad. They propose a PUD-1 for the entire <br />area. Holloway held a meeting with residents involved on February 11th to try to get comments. <br />......./ The residents stated they did not want this rezone period. Mr. Holloway decided to add <br />
