<br />MOORESVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, APRIL 28,1994 -7:30 P.M. <br />MOORESVILLE TOWN HALL <br /> <br />The Mooresville Planning Commission met for their regular scheduled <br />meeting Thursday, April 28, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Plan Commission members present were Joel Beebe, Bill Abbott, <br />Steve Edwards, Vern Kimmel, Art Raney, Charles McGuire, Tim Bennett and <br />Mike Young. Also present was the Commission's attorney, Tim Currens. <br />Commission member Bob Tucker was absent. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Charles McGuire, second by Art Raney to approve <br />the March 24, 1994 Plan Commission minutes as submitted. Motion passed 8-0. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Attorney Mark Peden appeared before the Mooresville Plan Commission <br />representing Davis Homes with a request for a PUD-R. Mr. Peden informed those <br />present that they were here seeking final approval for their preliminary PUD-R. <br />Mr. Peden also explained that they had changed some of the street names on the <br />PUD so that they would not be in conflict with other street names in town. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mr. Chris White and Mr. Rick Davis of Davis Homes addressed those <br />present about the drainage and sanitary sewers. They also explained that the PUD <br />would have no more than 20% of the homes in Grandview Subdivision would be <br />less than 1,300 square feet and a minimum of 20% would exceed 1,650 square feet. <br />Any model home would fall in the larger home category. Mr. White and Mr. Davis <br />also informed those present that they would discuss with the building inspector's <br />office about building permits for the various home sizes. <br /> <br />Commission member Steve Edwards asked if the Davis Home people <br />had talked with the county on making any improvements on Johnson Road. <br /> <br />Mr. Peden explained that he wasn't sure about any response from the <br />county concerning any road improvements. <br /> <br />Commission member Bill Abbott asked if the Davis Home people could <br />bring something in writing stating that the county would make the necessary <br />improvements to Johnson Road for Grandview Subdivision with a specific time <br />frame. <br /> <br />A few residents from this area appeared before the Commission with <br />concerns about the traffic on Johnson Road and the drainage problems on Johnson <br />Road. <br /> <br />~ <br />
