<br />I <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />MINUTES OF <br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />July 19, 1990 at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at the Mooresvi1le High School <br /> <br />Auditorium July 19, 1990 at 7:00 P.M. at a special public hearing. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />were board members Signe Nicholson, William Abbott, Steve Edwards, Robert <br /> <br />Tucker, Shirley Welker, and Joel Beebe. <br /> <br />Present also was the board's <br /> <br />attorney, Timothy C. Currens. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Signe <br /> <br />Nicholson who introduced the board members and a copy of the existing <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan from 1979. <br /> <br />Mrs. Nicholson stated that the Plan <br /> <br />Commission had started its initial committee meetings for a redraft of <br /> <br />the Comprehensive Plan two years ago. <br /> <br />The original draft of the <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan was presented to the full Plan Commission in October <br /> <br />of 1989 with the corresponding zoning ordinance being drafted after <br /> <br />this point and presented in the spring of 1990. <br /> <br />She advised that the <br /> <br />Plan Commission had reviewed both documents and set the public hearing <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />for this evening for the public to comment on the Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />and ordinance and the respective zoning maps attached to each for a <br /> <br />determination as to what changes would be made and whether or not the <br /> <br />documents would be certified to the Town Council. <br /> <br />Bob Tucker then proceeded with his presentation of the Comprehensive <br /> <br />Plan verbally and with illustrations on the overhead viewer. <br /> <br />He advised <br /> <br />that the purpose of this plan was to help provide for orderly development <br /> <br />and to look to the future for the type of development which the Plan <br /> <br />Commission felt would be in the best interest of the town. <br /> <br />He further <br /> <br />advised that this document should be reviewed at least annually to keep <br /> <br />it current. <br /> <br />At the end of Mr. Tucker's presentation Signe Nicholson <br /> <br />opened the hearing up to comments from the general public. <br /> <br />Mr. Robson <br /> <br />of 202 Robson Lane, Camby. Indiana, commented <br /> <br />concern~'ng <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />the area north <br /> <br />"-- <br /> <br />\. <br />
