<br />'-- <br /> <br />'-- <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met June 28, 1990, at the <br />Mooresvil1e Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. Present were Board Members <br />Signe Nicholson, William Abbott, Steve Edwards, Vern Kimmel, <br />Joel Beebe, David Barry, David Minardo, Robert Tucker and Shirley <br />Welker. Also present was the Board's Attorney, Tim Currens. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nicholson determined a quorum was present and <br /> <br />proceeded with approval of the minutes of the prior meeting. <br />The first item on the agenda was the rezoning request of <br />Arvin Hopkins who was present with his attorney Richard Bray. The <br />request was for rezoning from Residential to Industrial on 1.59 <br />acres and from Residential to General Business on the second tract <br /> <br /> <br />which adjoins the other. Richard Bray outlined the location of <br /> <br /> <br />the property and the surrounding uses, including Pebbles Plaza <br /> <br /> <br />Shopping Center and the Hopkins Sand & Gravel business operation. <br /> <br /> <br />He advised that a Goodyear Tire store was planned for the General <br /> <br /> <br />Business location and a special building with 20 foot sidewalls <br /> <br /> <br />for the repair of trucks on the Industrial use. Dave Minardo <br /> <br /> <br />questioned whether or not the Hopkins trucks would be the only <br /> <br /> <br />vehicles repaired in the industrial rezoning request. Mr. Hopkins <br /> <br /> <br />stated that in the future, other trucks could be repaired there <br /> <br /> <br />but currently the only plans were for the Hopkins Sand & Gravel <br /> <br /> <br />trucks. Robert Tucker questioned access. Mr. Hopkins advised <br /> <br /> <br />that access would be on the easement between the newly acquired <br /> <br /> <br />ground where the tire store would be located and the back side of <br /> <br /> <br />Pebbles Plaza Shopping Center.
