<br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />...... <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting on Thursday, <br /> <br />September 28, 1989 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Present were <br /> <br />board members Joel Beebe, William Abbott, Steve Edwards, Vern Kimmel, Dave <br /> <br />Barry, Shirley Welker, and Signe Nicholson. Building Inspector, Joseph <br /> <br />Beikman, and Economic Development, Randy Haymaker were present along with <br /> <br />the board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens. <br /> <br />The first item on the agenda was the rezoning request of Stanley Earl <br /> <br />Fowler and Barbara J. Fowler. The Fowlers were requesting rezoning from a <br /> <br />single family residential to LB Local Business on the real property located <br /> <br />at 264 East Main Street, Mooresville, Indiana. Mr. Fowler introduced a <br /> <br />drawing which showed the structure on the property along with proposed parking. <br /> <br />He advised that they had all ready started remodeling the outside of the <br /> <br />house and that the proposed use would be a beauty shop which is within the <br /> <br />local business classification. He pointed out that there was a business use <br /> <br />on the west side of the property, Pink Front Laundromat, Bomax Scavenger <br /> <br />Service across the street and diagonally across Franklin Street <br /> <br />was A & M Machine and Weliever Chevrolet. Chairman Beebe then opened the <br /> <br />meeting to questions from the remonstrators. Julie Rodenbeck of 245 East <br /> <br />Washington Street questioned whether or not the shop would be operated by <br /> <br />more than one beautician. The response was that there would be two at the <br /> <br />present and possibly more. Mrs. Rodenbeck had some concern about visibility <br /> <br />in the alley which they used for access. Bailey Nietzel of 246 East Main <br /> <br />Street wanted to know what the outbuilding in the back would be used for. <br /> <br />Mr. Fowler responded that this would be kept where it is located and not <br /> <br />used other than storage. He advised that there was a well shared by his <br /> <br />neighbor back in this area of the property and that adjoining it would be <br /> <br />parking.
