<br />r <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />----- <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting place, <br /> <br />the Mooresville Town Hall January 28, 1988 at 7:30 P.M. Present <br />were board members, Bill Abbott, Steve Edwards, Tilford Bailey, <br />Dave Barry, Warren Franklin, Robert Tucker, Joel Beebe and <br /> <br />Chairman Vern Kimmel. The Board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens <br /> <br />was present along with Building Inspector, Joseph Beikman. Chairman <br />Kimmel determined there was a quorum present and proceeded to <br />approval of the minutes of the last meeting. <br />The first item on the agenda was the reorganization for the year <br />1988. Chairman Kimmel opened up nominations for chairperson for <br />the upcoming year. A motion was made by Steve Edwards to nominate <br />Vern Kimmel as chairman and this was seconded by Tilford Bailey <br />and Tilford Bailey also moved that the nominations be closed. Upon <br />motion made and seconded, Vernon Kimmel was unanimously named <br /> <br />chairman of the Plan Commission. Nominations were opened up for <br /> <br />vice-chairman with Tilford Bailey nominating Joel Beebe. This was <br />seconded by Steve Edwards and unanimously carried. Nominations <br />were then opened for secretary and Tilford Bailey was nominated by <br />David Barry and unanimously elected secretary. <br />The next item on the agenda was the rezoning petition of <br />Richard V. Newcomer and Marjorie Newcomer regarding the property <br />at 227 S. Madison, Mooresville, Indiana. The request was from <br /> <br /> <br />a rezoning classification of A-Residential to GB-General Business. <br /> <br /> <br />The property was identified by Mr. Newcomer who was present with <br /> <br /> <br />drawings showing the proposed retail shopping center of 18000square <br /> <br /> <br />feet. He advised that there would be 104 parking places and all <br /> <br /> <br />set-backs could be met. The location of the property was the old <br /> <br /> <br />Wakeman property at Madison and High Street directly east of the <br />
