<br />" <br /> <br />ftINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresvi11e Plan Commission met at its regular meeting <br />-- <br />place, the Mooresvi11e Town Hall, March 24, 1988 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present were board members Vern Kimmel, William Abbott, Steve <br /> <br />Edwards, Signe Nicholson, Dave Barry, Warren Franklin, Joel Beebe, <br /> <br />Tilford Bailey, and Robert Tucker. Building Inspector Joseph <br />Beikman was present along with the board's attorney, Timothy C. <br />Currens. Chairman Kimmel determined that there was a quorum <br />present and proceeded to the approval of the minutes of the prior <br />meeting. <br />The first item on the agenda was the rezoning petition of <br />Hosten and Elizabeth Bible on the real estate located at 222 East <br />High Street from residential to general business. 'rhe Bibles were <br />present by their attorney, Sam Korn. Mr. Korn handed out a layout <br />~ <br />of the ground in question and advised that he felt this ground was <br />suitable for numerous types of businesses and that the Bibles were <br />not sure at this time what they would be putting in. He stated <br />that there had been several rumors regarding a tire store but that <br />no decision had been made. He also stated that this was on a main <br />thoroughfare and felt the traffic in the area would not be <br />affected greatly by another business use. Mr. Korn then pointed <br />out the other business uses in the area as follows: Dr. Kirby, <br /> <br />Fitness World, O'De11s, Jacksons Supermarket, the old Wakeman <br /> <br />property which was recently purchased and rezoned general business <br /> <br /> <br />by Dick Newcomer. Mr. Korn stated that the old Wakeman property <br /> <br /> <br />was directly across the street from the property located at 222 <br /> <br /> <br />East High.
