<br />I·'·~ <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting <br /> <br />place, the Mooresville Town Hall, at 7:30 P.M., August 25, 1988. <br /> <br />Present were Board members: <br /> <br />Joel Beebe, William Abbott, Steve <br /> <br />Edwards, Tilford Bailey, David Barry, Warren Franklin, Robert <br /> <br />Tucker, and Signe Nicholson. <br /> <br />Present also was the building <br /> <br />inspector, Joseph Beikman, and the Plan Commission's attorney, <br /> <br />Tim Currens. <br /> <br />The first item to come before the Board was the special <br /> <br />exception petition recommended to the Board by the Mooresville <br /> <br />Board of Zoning Appeals. <br /> <br />The Board's attorney advised that the <br /> <br />Plan Commission's responsibility in this instance is to make an <br /> <br />investigation as to the manner in which the proposed location and <br /> <br />character of the special exception will affect the Master Land Use <br /> <br />Plan, and return the results of this study to the Board of Zoning <br /> <br />Appeals for its further determination of this matter, all within <br /> <br />ninety days from the receipt of the application. <br /> <br />The Board <br /> <br />further advised that it was not necessary for the Beasleys to be <br /> <br />present and the Board then proceeded to a discussion with William <br /> <br />Abbott making a motion that the proposed special exception was <br /> <br />compatible with the Master Land Use Plan. <br /> <br />He stated that this <br /> <br />would be a residential use in a residential area and felt that it <br /> <br />was acceptable. <br /> <br />Signe Nicholson seconded this. <br /> <br />Steve Harris, an <br /> <br />adjoining property owner, then introduced himself and stated that <br /> <br />he, along with other property owners present, were against the <br />
