<br />~ <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresvi11e Plan Commission met at its regular meeting <br /> <br />place, the Mooresvi11e Town Hall, Thursday, October 27, 1988, at <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present were Board members: Vern Kimmel, William <br /> <br />Abbott, Warren Franklin, Tilford Bailey, Robert Tucker, David <br /> <br />Barry, Signe Nicholson, and Joel Beebe. <br /> <br />Present also was the <br /> <br />Building Inspector, Joseph Beikman, and the Board's attorney, <br /> <br />Timothy C. Currens. <br /> <br />Chairman Kimmel found that there was a quorum present and <br /> <br />proceeded to approval of the Minutes of the prior meeting. <br /> <br />The Board proceeded to old business and a review of the <br /> <br />unsafe building violation at 2 West Main Street. <br /> <br />Building <br /> <br />Inspector Beikman advised that new windows had been put in the <br /> <br />building and that progress was continuing. <br /> <br />The Board agreed to <br /> <br />continue to let Mr. Beikman handle this matter. Mr. Beikman also <br /> <br />advised that the unsafe building at 260 West Harrison Street had <br /> <br />been corrected. <br /> <br />The next item to come before the Board was the rezoning <br /> <br />application of Michael Merriman, Executor of the Estate of Veldia <br /> <br />McCoy, on the property at the intersection of Indianapolis Road <br /> <br />and Washington Street, across from the Wake-Up Station, facing <br /> <br />Washington Street. <br /> <br />Present for the estate was Mark Peden. <br /> <br />Mr. Peden advised that the residential structure was somewhat <br /> <br />obsolete for residential purposes and would only deteriorate <br /> <br />.-' <br /> <br />as a rental. <br /> <br />He stated that a commercial use would allow the <br />
