<br />."" <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regularly <br /> <br />scheduled meeting place, the Town Hall, December 22, 1988. <br /> <br />Present were Board members Robert Tucker, Steve Edwards, Warren <br /> <br />Franklin, Tilford Bailey, Dave Barry, Signe Nicholson, Joel Beebe <br /> <br />and Chairman Vern Kimmel. <br /> <br />The Board's attorney, Timothy C. <br /> <br />Currens, was present, along with Building Inspector, Joseph <br /> <br />Beikman. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kimmel, who <br /> <br />determined a quorum was present and proceeded with approval of <br /> <br />minutes of the prior meeting. <br /> <br />The first item on the agenda was <br /> <br />'-- . <br /> <br />the rezoning application of Citizens Bank on the property located <br /> <br />at 108 and 110 North Indiana Street. <br /> <br />The request was for a <br /> <br />reclassification from R-Residential to LB-Local Business. <br /> <br />The bank was also present by its President, Norman Connell. <br /> <br />Attorney Mills proceeded to advise the Board of the intent of the <br /> <br />bank. <br /> <br />In particular, the bank wanted to turn this area into a <br /> <br />parking area for its employees. <br /> <br />Mr. Mills advised that the old <br /> <br />structure had been ra~ed and that the bank had continued to do <br /> <br />work on the area prior to the rezoning to keep the mud off the <br /> <br />road and to protect the adjoining property owners. Mr. Mills <br /> <br />advised that the old home was an eyesore and felt that this would <br /> <br />help the area. <br /> <br />In particular, he felt that business would be the <br /> <br />highest and best use of this ground and that it would be <br /> <br />--' <br /> <br />compatible with the other surrounding uses due to the development <br />
