<br />'-- <br /> <br />'--" <br /> <br />,~ <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting place, <br />the Mooresville Town Hall, at 7:30 P.M. on September 24, 1987. <br />Present were board members Vern Kimmel, William Abbott, Stephen <br />Edwards, Tilford Bailey, David Barry, Warren Franklin, and Joel <br />Beebe. Present also was the board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens <br />and the building inspector, Joe Beikman. <br />The first item to come before the board was the rezoning <br />petition of Cecil and Vida Rogers. Gene Kenworthy, their son- <br />in-law was present to present the notices. These were found <br />to be in order and the board's attorney advised that this was <br />one of the rezoning5which was mistakenly done when the new map <br />went into affect and the property had always been a business <br />use. The board was aware of the problem and found that the <br />highest and best use of said property would be the continued <br />use in a general business classification. The recommendation <br /> <br />to send a favorable recommendation to rezone to the Town Board <br /> <br />was made by Steve Edwards, seconded by Tilford Bailey and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />The next item to come before the board was a similar rezoning <br /> <br />case for Carl Thompson at 445 East Carlisle in the Town of Mooresville. <br />The board's attorney said that he would file the petition for <br />the next meeting. <br />The board next proceeded to old business concerning the <br />Doug Turner property at 39~ West Main. The board's attorney <br />stated that based upon complaints of neighbors and visual observations <br />a violation of the general business zoning classification. <br />In particular, vehicles were being scrapped out on several occasions <br />
