<br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting <br />place, Mooresville Town Hall, at 7:30 p.m. on October 22, 1987. <br />Present were board members Vernon Kimmel, Bill Abbott, Steve Edwards, <br />Tilford Bailey, Dave Barry, Joel Beebe and Warren Franklin. Also <br />present was the board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens and the building <br />inspector, Joe Beikman. The first item to come before the board was <br /> <br />a question from the floor by Raymond Bowers concerning the status <br /> <br />of the complaint against Joan Fuller for running a business known <br /> <br />as Joan's Catering on Johnson Road in a residential area. The board <br /> <br />advised that their attorney had been notified that Mrs. Fuller had <br />contacted Phil Smith, attorney in Martinsville regarding a variance. <br />The board was further advised that a variance would be filed before <br />the next board of zoning appeals meeting. Mr. Bowers was advised <br />that he could contact the Clerk-Treasurer's office to check on the <br />filing to make sure he was present for any meeting. <br />The next item to come before the board concerned the rezoning <br />for Carl Thompson by the board at the property located 445 E. Carlisle. <br />The motion was made by Steve Edwards, seconded by Dave Barry to proceed <br />with the signing of the rezoning papers for the next meeting. The <br />motion was unanimously carried. <br />The next item on the agenda concerned the use of the property <br />at 39 ~ West Main Street. The board's attorney advised that the <br />renter had come to a town board meeting to discuss the alleged <br />violations and was advised by the board's attorney that the property <br />could not be used as a salvage operation. The permitted use would <br /> <br />'-- be to work on vehicles. Mr. Edwards advised that there were some <br /> <br />'-- <br /> <br />salvage gas tanks still on the property and that they should be <br /> <br /> <br />removed. The board requested that the attorney send a letter to <br />
