--

~

.-

MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION
The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting
place, the Mooresville Town Hall, at 7:30 P.M. on November 19,
1987. Present were board members Vernon Kimmel, William Abbott,
Steve Edwards, Tilford Bailey, Warren Franklin, and Joel Beebe.
The board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens was present along with
the building inspector, Joe Beikman. It was determined that there
was a quorum present and the board proceeded to the approval of
the minutes of the prior meeting.
The next item to come before the board was the rezoning petition
of Carl Thompson on the property located at 445 E. Carlisle Street,
Mooresville, Indiana. The board's attorney advised that this
property had been rezoned inadvertently in the town's last zoning
map and it was for this reason that the board had proceeded to
file the petition on Mr. Thompson's behalf. The attorney also advised
that Mr. Thompson could not be present this evening but appreciated
the board taking the steps. A discussion was had and the board
again confirmed that they believed the highest and best use and
most consistent use with the master plan of this property was the
general business zoning classification. The board opened up the
meeting to questions from the floor. Ben Mendenhall was present

and said he was there to assist Mr. Thompson. Mary Thompson was

also present, the wife of Carl Thompson. There was no one present

to speak against the petition and the board then proceeded to
entertain a motion. Bill Abbott then moved that the Plan Commission
recommend to the Town Board of Trustees that the rezoning of the

property, commonly known as 445 East Carlisle Street, Mooresville,

Indiana be rezoned from A-residential to GB-general business.
