<br />- <br /> <br />"- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MQORE8.VILLE ):'LAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting place, the <br /> <br />Town Hall, on April 23, ~98] at ]:30 p.m. Present were Board Members Bill <br /> <br />Ahbott, Wendell Thaler, Steve Edwards, Daye Barry, Warren Franklin, Joel Beebe, <br /> <br />and Chairman Vernon Kimmel. Also present was Building Inspector Joe Beikman <br /> <br />and standing in for Board Attorney Timothy C. Currens was Attorney Michael A. <br /> <br />Ksenak. Chairman Vern Kimmel called the meeting to order and determined that <br /> <br />a quorum was present. The Board proceeded to approve the minutes of the <br /> <br />March 26, 1987 meeting. <br />The first item on the agenda was the rezoning application of Speedway <br /> <br />Marathon to rezone the service station located at 535 South Indiana Street <br /> <br />in Mooresville from Local Business to General Business. Present on behalf <br /> <br />of Marathon Petroleum Company was Dwayne Lamb, an engineer for Marathon. <br /> <br />Mr. Lamb advised that Marathon petroleum was intending to rebuild this station. <br /> <br />The present service station is antiquated and does not meet their current needs. <br /> <br />Building Inspector Joe Beikrpan advised the Board that under the old ordinance <br /> <br />a service station fell under the Local Business classification but that with <br /> <br />the new ordinance a General Business classification was required. <br /> <br />No remonstrators being present, Steve Edwards moved to recommend to the <br /> <br />Town Board the approval of the application. He felt that the request was <br /> <br />consistent with the other businesses in the area. Dave Barry seconded and <br /> <br />the motion was unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The next item on the agenda was the petition by Martha Fishel and William E. <br /> <br />Hardcastle to rezone the property located on the south side of Williams Drive, <br /> <br />one half hlock off of Indiana Street from Residential to Multi-Family containing <br /> <br />approximately .56 of an acre, more or less. Mr. Hardcastle advised that there <br /> <br />was a 215 foot frontage on Williams Drive and that the property in question was <br />
