Those members present were: Steve <br />Edwards, Bart Hensley, Lewis Truax, William Roberson, Eweather <br />Stephens and David Lawson, Attorney for the Commission. <br />Minutes of the December meeting were read and approved. <br />Old business was in order so we proceeded with the hearing on <br />Petition #4 1974 (proposed re-zonlng of acreage owned by Floyd and <br />Andrew Schanze and John Barber) which had been taken under advisement <br />at the December meeting. <br />Attorney Tim Currens, partner of the Law office of Harris & Currens, <br />represented the petitioners in the absence of Steve Harris, Attorney. <br />A study of the drainage problems affecting the property In question <br />was made by the Town Engineer, William Abbott, at the request of the <br />Town Board only as a factual report not as an obligation for the Town <br />of Mooresvllle to accept the expense of the water removal for the <br />developer of the proposed Apartment Complex. The report stated that <br />It Is the opinion 0 f the Engineer that the water drainage problem can <br />be solved, however no cost figure was submitted. <br />The report of the Sanitation Engineer was not available yet, however, <br />Attoeney Currens reported that Mr. Gagliano, the developer had been ~ <br />assured that the apartment complex as proposed presented no problem <br />to the present sewer facilities. <br />Attorney Currens reported that a new access route into the property <br />has been obtained with the purchase of the property at 181 North <br />Indiana St. The house on the property would be removed thus giving <br />72 feet of space for a street of 26 feet and a 20 foot leeway on <br />each side of the proposed street. The Fire Chief was consulted and his <br /> <br />approval of the street was acquired. <br />
