The petition was a request for rezoning of 17.39 acres which hsd been conditionally annexed by the Town of Mooresville. The proposed area is to be utilized by a ahopping center ac- cording to the present owners. The present classificstion of the srea is "A" Residential and the request to rezone was to classification "CB" Ceneral Business. It is the recommendation of the Mooresville Plan Commillion by a vote of the commission of four against and one in favor that the petition to rezone to General Business be denied but that the area be rezoned to "LB" Local Business. It was the opinion of the commission that the contemplated use of the acreage as represented by the developer could be .erved by the zoning classification "LB" Local Business and that the development of the area to classification of "CB" Cen- eral Business would not be of bast interest of the Malter Plan for Development in the Town of Mooresville.
