<br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, JUNE 27,2002,7:00 P. M. <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met on Thursday, June 27,2002, at 7:00 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall. Following this meeting the Comprehensive Plan Committee met <br />in the conference room at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Plan Commission members present were: Chairman Mike Young, Chris Crouch, John <br />Ehrhart, Charles McGuire, Robert Corbin, Robert Williamson, Tim Bennett, Jim Bruner, <br />and Andy Pygman. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> <br />Chairman Mike Young announced the re-plat of Lot 1, Town Center is to be continued to <br />July 25, 2002. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Williamson to <br />accept the minutes of May 24, 2002, with corrections for spelling and deleting one <br />sentence. Motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />First on the agenda was Ken Zumstein, D & S Development, asking for a continuance. <br />He told the commission Helen Humes, EDC Director and himself at attended a meeting <br />with INDOT. The initial conclusion was they did not think a cut on Highway 67, Yeager <br />Property, was feasible. They are supposed to find out on Monday, July 1,2002. Mr. <br />Zumstein said he would send letters to homeowners in a timely manner no matter what <br />the answer from INDOT. He told the commission they would not be interested in the <br />property if they could not get a cut off of Highway 67. <br /> <br />An adjoining property owner asked the commission if this meant if another development <br />was interested in the Yeager property could they assume entry would be on Allison Road. <br />Street Commissioner Joe Beikman answered yes. Randall Harris, 4362 East Allison <br />Road asked the commission if D & S Development did go thru, could the units be sold <br />rather than leased. Town attorney Tim Currens answered by saying these issues would <br />be at a Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Next on the agenda was Ross Holloway of Holloway & Associates requesting a special <br />exception in a B-2 for Wayne Pace located on Monroe Street. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Bruner to recommend to the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals this special exception to a B-2 for mini warehouses would be the least <br />obtrusive to the surrounding area. Motion carried 9-0. This will be on the BZA agenda <br />for July 11,2002. <br /> <br />Benchmark Consulting for HRM Investments appeared before the commission with a <br />PUD-R, located on Landersdale and Bridge Street. The PUD consisted of fifty-five <br />single family lots on twenty-four acres. The lots range in size from 11,000 square feet to <br />28,000 square feet. The entrance and exit is on Bridge Street.
