Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals <br /> August 20,1997 <br /> <br />The Town of Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met for their regular meeting on <br />August 20, 1997, at the Mooresville Town Hall, 26 South Main Street at 7:p.m. Board <br />of Zoning Appeals members present were Michael Young, Alan Kramer, Veto Khmael, <br />Brent Plunketh and Don Barry. Board of Zoning Appeals attorney Tun Currens was present <br />for the meeting. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Don Barry to approve the minutes as submitted of the July 16,1997 <br />meeting with Brent Plunkett making the second. The motion canied 54) with none opposed. <br /> <br />Ken Fakes representing Home R~molding returned for a set back variance for an attached <br />garage at 1369 Roseberry Court. Alan Kramer gave his findings lhat the garage would need <br />to be shortened by 1 foot to comply. After discussion a motion was made by Don BaiTy to <br />approve the variance with the 1 foot change in length of the garage and stipulation that there would <br />never be a tractor from a Semi parked in the garage. Vern Kimmel made a second, the motion <br />carried 5-0 with Alan Kramer sustaining <br /> <br />Motorama was represented by William McLaughlkn in requesting a variance for a 10 foot setback <br />at 967 Old State Road 67 to build a building. A motion was made to approve the variance with a <br />20 foot setback from the west side [Old 67] and the 10 foot setback from the North by Brent <br />Plunkett, and the second being made by Don Bany. The motion was carried 5-0 with none <br />opposed. <br /> <br />Don Moody representing the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3988 in requesting a variance for setbacks <br />on the Norfl% South and East sides to build a new building. After discussion from the Board and <br />several neighbors a motion was made by Allen Kramer to deny the variance, The motion was <br />seconded by Brant PlunkeR. The motion was carried 4-0 with ~hm-lOamer sustaining. <br /> <br />Greg Iacobucci came before the Board requesting a setback variance to build a home at 454 <br />Bunker Hill Road. A motion to accept the variance was made by Don B~u~y a second was made <br />by Brent Plunkett, the motion was carried 5-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />The Foster Foundation was represented by Ross Holloway in requesting a rezone on North <br />Indiana Street from Residential to allow for a Child Care Facility and a variance from the <br />development s~mdards to allow a 15,000 square foot building on a lot number four of the 2nd <br />amended Raymond Minor Plat.
