313 <br /> <br />Councilman Hensley noted for the minutes the fact that Paul and Carolyn <br />Mason donated their time to run the Auction for the Town to help raise <br />the money for the Senior Citizens and a youth fund. Councilman Pygman .~_ <br />included Mark Gilkerson in the appreciation and thank yous. <br /> <br />Councilman Pygman is working on the plaque in memory of Steve Orme for the <br />Waste Water Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />The Town Council discussed several calls made by residents on South Street <br />concerning water problems due to the heavy amounts of rain. Street Con,missioner <br />Joe Beikman said T. V. cameras could be run through the sanitary lines at <br />the laterals to find out where the surface water was coming from. Joe Beikman <br />will investigate the cost of this procedure and report to the Council at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />Town Attorney Tim Currens presented the Council a contract for the garage <br />purchase from Mrs. Wissner. The Town will take possession on May 31, 1996. <br /> <br />Town Council President Mark ~this presented the Council with the Window <br />replacement bids for 104 West Main Street: <br /> <br /> Linel ..... $4,025.00 installed <br /> <br /> Mooresville Glass $6591.65 installed <br /> <br />Motion was madebyCouncilman Hensley, second byCouncilman Pygman to accept <br />the bid from Linel for Four thousand twenty-five dollars ($4025.00). Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The bid for the partial lumber package using Police and Street Department <br />supervision using inmates for the framing construction were as follows: <br /> <br /> Lumber One $3490.06 <br /> Menards $3200.00 <br /> Newcomer Lumber $3300.42 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Dolen to accept <br />the bid by Newcomer Lumber of Three thousand three hundred dollars and <br />forty-two cents ($3300.42) because Newcomer Lumber is a local merchant and <br />they will deliver. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this <br />time, motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Hensley <br />to adjourn.
