<br />Mr. Holloway said he would leave the drawings here for the board to look at and for the <br />preliminary plat they have tried to address every comment in the tech review committee one way <br />or another. He would like to emphasis that everything south ofthe commercial is to scale. <br />They understand that Mr. Beikman will have to approve and release all construction plans and <br />that they would come back before the two commercial areas are developed. <br /> <br />Motion was made to approve the preliminary plat located on the south side of Old State Road 67, <br />west of New State Road 67 and east of the east fork of White Lick Creek was made by <br />Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Bruner. Motion carried 7-1 with Robert <br />Williamson opposed. <br /> <br />The last item on the agenda was Phil Smith, representing Juanita Alumbaugh, 66 E Main Street, <br />requesting a rezone from R-l to R-3. The property is located on the northwest corner of Clay <br />St. and Main Street they are asking for a rezone to multiple family, which already exist there. <br />There are three units with sizable paved off street parking available. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bryant asked if this was at present a variance and Mr. Smith said it was. <br /> <br />Mr. Beikman asked if a stipulation would be on the zoning that there would be no more than <br />three units. Mr. Currens said that was the way to the ordinance would read. <br /> <br />Mr. Williamson asked what the current parking was and Mr. Smith sated there was paved <br />parking that runs all the way to the rear of the property. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuire said since the zoning was forever, what was the problem in granting <br />another variance and Mr. Currens said that a lot of the time you cannot get financing on a <br />vanance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Williamson, second by Commissioner Bryant, made a motion to recommend to <br />the Town Council to continue the petition for rezone from R-1 to R-3 for 66 E Main St until <br />January 2005. Motion carried 3-4. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Crouch, made a motion to recommend to the <br />Town Council to approve the petition for rezone from R-l to R-3 for 66 E Main St. Motion <br />carried 5-2 with Troy Bryant and Robert Williamson opposed. <br /> <br />Chairman Young said the board had a letter from Janette Ellis, 1000 Honeysuckle Court, <br />regarding violations to zoning and covenants. She stated that a resident at 1015 Honeysuckle <br />Drive was parking an RV in their drive and someone was living in it. Commissioner Bryant <br />asked if there was anything in our parking ordinance that covered this and Mr. Beikman said it <br />did not. Mr. Beikman said he had sent someone out to check and that there was an extension <br />cord ran to the camper, but they were not hooked to water or sewer. Mr. Currens said that <br />reading the letter this was a concern ofthe Homeowners Association and not the town's. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ehrhart said it does not look like the board has slowed down on the selling of cars <br />on north Indianapolis Road. He is also concerned about all the cars parked at Barlow's Garage <br />
