Town attorney Tina Currens has requested information in writing from the <br />accounting firm, county surveyor, Terry Brock, and Dave Best at Dominion. Mrs. Atwood handed a <br />list of questions to each council member. She wanted to know what the original information requested <br />to Joe Beikman to ask Christopher Burke. Joe asked for any pre development plans for Rooker Trace <br />and Rooker Road. They cannot be found. Mrs. Atwood asked what could be done next. Council <br />President Worthen told her that was what they keep trying to find out. Mrs. Atwood asked why Joe <br />Beikman couldn't go to Ross Holloway and see how the flow was calculated. She said a person should <br />be able to know what the runoff would b~ with both additions. <br />Councilman Shields stated he did not see how the residents could hold the Town Council responsible. <br />Joe Beikman sat at the time both additions were built they had to certify the down flow would not affect <br />other properties. He does not believe the topos can be located. Mrs. Atwood asked if the covenants <br />do not cover responsibility of water flow or the city ar state, then who is responsible, the State said the <br />Town was responsible. Mrs. Atwood said she had talked to residents of Boyd Heights and they were <br />having flooding problems and then Rooker Trace and Rooker Run was developed and the flooding stopped. <br />She wanted to know what the actual size was of retention basis to begin with and what the size of the <br />retention is now. When the Plan Commission approved Rooker Run, Ross Holloway was quoted as <br />saying the ditches and drains were in bad shape so what was done to alleviate that? Mr. Atwood say they <br />would like some answers in writing by September 15~', so they could have them before next meeting. <br />Tim Currens told Mrs. Atwood he was sure the county would. cooperate with us with any information <br />they might or might not have. Councilman Shields stated he wanted to discontinue the discussions. <br />Councilman Harris told Mrs. Atwood and the other residents present the council was trying to find <br />information and find who is responsible because the council wanted answers just as much as they wanted <br />answers. Councilman Harris told them he lived in Rooker Trace and He wanted to know the answers and <br />told them Councilman Worthen had worked hours and hours on this drainage problem. <br />Councilman Shields gave an update on two projects. CGl's agreement is to provide a one to two minute <br />production promo of the Town to put on the website and then develop films on other aspects of the <br />Town. This is scheduled far October 3, 2007. Councilman Shields also wants to get people involved in <br />government by taking a Town Council meeting to the school. This would be a real meeting and he will <br />try to schedule the first meeting in December with the school. A motion was made by Councilman Harris <br />with a second by Councilman. Clark to proceed with setting up floe meeting to be held at the High"School. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Harris to suspend discussions <br />with Springinill residents. Motion carried 4-1. Councilman Clark opposed. <br />Legal: A motion was made by Councilman Harris with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve two <br />dedications of Town Center roads. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The Town auction was successful bringing in a total of $6,002.00 and after the auction company percentage <br />in the amount of $1,097.90 netting a total of $4, 904.10. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-nine (29) calls, eleven (11) impounds, and five <br />(S) returned. <br />A motion. was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve payment of <br />Claims. Motion tamed 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by Councilman <br />Dvlen with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Tuesday, September 18, <br />2007, at 6:30 P. M.
