© A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by c.:ounciiman t;iarx to <br />! approve Ordinance #S, 2006, no parking on North Indiana Street. Motion carried S-0. <br />Cauncilnnan Bryant tald the council he would like to see an access off the alley to the <br />new parking lot and an exit off the rear to the new parking lot at 39 West Main Street. <br />Joe Beikman thought David Moore, Utility Dept. Supervisor, could da some attractive <br />landscaping around the parking lot. Attorney Currens said it probably needed something <br />high enough so the car lights at night would not bother neighbors. The parking lot will be <br />approximately SO feet by 125 feet. Brian Haggard, Banning Engineering, will .take these <br />ideas back to his office to work out a plan. <br />Matt Miller, HNTB, is working with the Redevelopment Commission and MPO on a <br />long term transportation plan.. The two are working with a shared expense grant. A <br />review board has been requested consisting. of ane 'l'awn Council memberr, one <br />Redevelopment Commission member, and a Plan'Commission member. Councilman <br />Shields will serve on this board. <br />Animal Cantrol Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-five (25) calls, six (6) impounds, <br />and five (S) returns. <br />A motion was made by Councilman, Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no fiuther business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br />made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried S-0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, <br />May 16, 2006 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Chris Fowler, Mt. Gilead Church, gave the prayer. <br />Town Council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Troy Bryant, Toby <br />Dolen, John L. Clark, and Eric Shields. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim <br />Currens was present. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve minutes of May 2, 2006.
