a <br />June 20, 2005 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in Executive Session on Monday, June 20, 2005, at <br />7:00 A. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall to discuss impending litigation. <br />Council members present were: President Tom Worthen, John L. Clark, Toby Dolen, and <br />Erie Shields. Troy Bryant was absent. Troy Bryant was absent. Town attorney <br />Sandra Pent' were also present. <br />Attorney Currens explained to the Council members tof 1Vloores v11e.~bThi esett ement ith <br />Jeff Scalf, a relative of John Dillenger, and the Town <br />would be $2,500 over the deductible of $3,000 for the insurance plus there would be two <br />detailed written apologies advertised in the Mooresville Times and Martinsville Reporter. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to approve <br />legal counsel to pursue the settlement as set out above. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to approve <br />Council President Worthen as the signature far any legal documents that may occur in <br />this matter. Motion carried 3-0. Council President Worthen abstained. <br />Matian was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to adjourn <br />the meeting.
