Perry, Clerk-Treasurer March 2, 2004 The Mooresville "town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, March. 2, 2004, at 6:30 P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Town Council members present were: President, Tom Worthen, Troy Bryant, John L. Clark, Toby Dolen and Eric Shields. Eric Shields arrived after some of the votes were taken. Town. Attorney, Tim Currens was also present. Larry card from. First Baptist Church of Mooresville gave the prayer. A motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve the tnizxutes of the February 17, 2004 meeting, as amended. Motion carried 4-0. _... --- ............. -- Brent Callahan, Park Superintendent, was present to request perrrussion to seen $32,516.00 from the Park Non-reverting Capztal Fund for the purchase of a new mowing tractor. The new tractor would replace a tractor approximately 12 years old with 4,000 hours on it. A motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve the purchase of the tractor. Town attorney, Tim Currens told. the Council that bath appraisals from two independent appraisers came back at $39,000. A motion was m. ode by Councilman Bryant, second by Counciltr-an Do1en to set the damages at $39,000. Motion carried 4-0. Nonce will be given to the affected property owners and a remonstrance hearing was set for April 6, 2004. __.
