~~ <br />Mr. Holloway presented a request for a rezone from. Agric. Co B-3 for a specific use for <br />Langley & Gregory on St. Rd. 42. The specific use is~for pet related and. agriculture <br />supplies. The existing entrance will be improved and used because it has the best site <br />distance. The drive will go in front of the orchard to the building. Mrs. Hunt spoke to <br />the council about the drainage issue. Another neighbor, Mrs. Tomlinson., spoke about her <br />concern of semis turning around anal where they will unload. She doesn't want the <br />unloading close to her. She also had a concen~ about drainage. Mr. Holloway sand the <br />semis would pull into the parking lot and back around to unload from die side or the back <br />of the trucks. <br />Councilman Bryant reported the Plan Commission had seen this as a very positive <br />project; it is an extension of ati existing busint'ss. Mr. Holloway said the building would <br />be approximately 120 feet from the property on the west_ Semi. delivery would be two to <br />three times a week. A motion was made by Councilman Dolen and a second by <br />Councilman Clark to approve Ordinance # 6, 2004, to rezone from Agric. to B-3 with the <br />restrictions for special use of pet or agriculture supplies. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Next, CIS-1's were approved for tax abatements for 2004. See attached. lisC. <br />Tracy Malott appeared before the council to request awalk-a-thou route sponsored by the <br />American Legion Auxiliary on behalf of Children's Miracle Network at Miley Hospital. <br />This will take place on Sunday, April 4°i, 2004 at 10:00 A. M. The council was <br />acceptable to the following route. From the American Legion go thru the alley to <br />Washington Street to Maple Leine to St. Clair Street to Indianapolis Road and up to <br />Pioneer Park and back to the Legion. <br />Councilman Clark made a motion seconded by Councilrxran Dolen to approve a Transfer <br />of Funds for $1.00,000 from WWTP Operating to WW"1'P Plant Improvement Fund. <br />Ivlotion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Dolen to authorize <br />Councilman Bryant to place the order far two types of Christmas Decorations by March <br />28`~ and receive another three percent discount making the total discount 38 per cent. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />On Apri16~' there is a hearing set for the Turner property. This is where affected <br />property owner, Nlr. Turner, can speak in remonstrance only. <br />Joe Beikznan told the council they needed to address fees for storm water and erosion at <br />the April 6`~' meeting. <br />Councilman Bryant said they needed to come up with an idea on adhering the new <br />trashcans. The old concrete cvas need to he cut down. The street department needs to <br />buy a new saw to do this. When they get the concrete cans cuC down then they can get an <br />idea where the decorative lights are going and then adhere down the new trash cans. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported thirteen (13) calls, four (4) impounds, and <br />three (3) returns. <br />Kevin Schultheis, Mooresville Baseball League, requested the same parade route as the <br />year before: on Saturday, April 17, 2004, at 9:00 A_ M. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Bryant, a second by Councilman Dolen to approve. Motion carried S-0. <br />- A motion was made by Councilman Clark, a second by Councilman Dolen to approve <br />payment of the claims. 1Vlotion carried 5-0. <br />
