A motion was made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman <br />Clark to approve the minutes of March 16, 2004. Motion carried <br />5-0. <br />The Mooresville Tawn Council met in regular session an Tuesday <br />April 6. 2004. at 6:30 P, M- at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Council members present= President Tam Worthen, Troy Bryant, <br />John L. Clark, Toby Dolen, and Eric Shields. Town attorney <br />Tim Currens was present. <br />The prayer was given by Jeff Newton from the Free MetYiadist <br />Church. <br />i <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman <br />Dolen to approve the Fiscal Plan far Annexatirovalrafhthedams/ <br />VanWinkle property. Motion carried 5-0. App <br />annexation ordinance will be May 4, 2004 <br />Cemetery mowing bids were opened and were as follows: <br />April 6, 2004 <br />Clark's Landscaping & Lawn Care- $650 per week Cemetery <br />60 per week Vacant Lat <br />This is for 30 moorings. <br />M & S Lawn Care- <br />Tri-County Lawn Care - <br />Sharp Lawns <br />1 <br />IJ <br />$550 per cut- Cemetery <br />150 per cut. Vacant lot <br />200 at beginning of year <br />mowing season for pick up <br />of flowers. <br />$770 per mow-Cemetery <br />140 per cut-vacant lot <br />$575 per mow-Cemetery <br />140 per cut -vacant lot <br />A motion was rnad~ by Councilman Bryant with a second by <br />Councilman Dalen to accept the bid from M ~ S Lawn Care because <br />it was the lowest bid. Motion carried 5-0, <br />~~~ <br />Robert Mudd, a resident from the Ray Young Addition made a request <br />to the Council to allow him to run a 2 inch Schedule 35 line <br />from his septic tank to the lift station at Karrington Estates. <br />Jae Beikman, Street Superintendent, and Dan Tingle, Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant Superintendent are agreeable to this. Shane, .from <br />the Board of Health is ok with it as long as it is sealed good. <br />Attorney Tim Currens asked Mr. Mudd if he would have to cross <br />other property. Mr. Mudd said Ray Young said it was fine with <br />him to cross the bit of property Mr. Young owns. Attorney <br />Currens told Mr. Mudd he would need to get this in writing. <br />Mr. Mudd told the council he would use a trencher to dig 10 <br />foot drop in the 900 feet.and bury the line 2 or 3 feet to get <br />away from everybody. He said this would save him money to pay <br />the $900 hook-on fee and pump his own instead of paying the <br />$100 a week to have his septic pumped and hauled away.Mr. Mudd <br />~eali~es the sewer project for the addition will take time to get <br />started and he is looking at saving himself money in the interim. <br />Mr. Mudd will receive his answer at the April 2D, 2004 meeting <br />after the council has done more research. <br />Councilman Bryant asked what the difference was in this request <br />and the request from the. Parson family in Boyd Heights because <br />the council told them it was illegal. Joe Beikman said the <br />Parsons wanted to go up and tie in to the Pearson's lateral and <br />the ordinance does not allow two people an a lateral. <br />Nina Langley appeared before the council to request .purple <br />footprints be painted again this year in the same place for <br />Relay for Life. The event will take place on June 4th and 5th. <br />Joe Beikman was acceptable to the request. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve the painting of the purple footprints. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
