They <br />said they feel the damage 'was from the retention pond, because they have pictures, and they were <br />giving the Council all the opportunity to do what was right. <br />Next was the Inter~local Agreement between the County and Town on the Boyd Heights <br />Subdivision, the improvement of the roads as the sanitary tine are installed' Motion was made <br />by Councilman Worthen, second by Councilman Mathis, to approve the Tnterlocal Agreement <br />between Morgan County and the Civil Town of Mooresville. Motion carried 3-0. <br />Next was Brent Callahan, of floe Mooresville Parks District, requesting permission to spend <br />money from the Non-Reverting Capital Fund to build a maintenance building. He asked if they <br />could spend $94,415.00 for the new maintenance building at the park. He also had a price for <br />the overhead doors and opener for $12,"121.00 plus $50.00 per window, not to exceed $13,000.00 <br />for the overhead doors and windows. Councilman Worthen asked what the original bid for the <br />building was. Mr. Callahan said it was $94,418.00, which was the lowest of the six bidders on <br />the project. Councilman Worthen ask w~er~ asked howw much~was inOthe Non-Reverti goons <br />and he said that was right. Councilman <br />Capitol Fund now and he was there was $405,955.00 now and after the first draw there would be <br />$380,630.00 remaining in the fund. Councilman Mathis asked when they would need the <br />money. Mr. Callahan said they hoped to start construction by the end of Tune or the beginning of <br />July. Councilman Mathis stated that the council was trying to keep the, department spending <br />down during the tax time. They don't mind the building being built, but they hate to see the park <br />building a building when they are holding the other departments to emergency spending. Mr. <br />Callahan said that there would be enough left in the Non-Reverting Capital to bolster the tax <br />based budget until we receive our tax draw. They want to get the maintenance building fuushed <br />and moved into so they can reno~d to kee the cost adf the building down they doing the inter <br />while they are not as busy. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br />Next was Jerry Mayfield, Mooresville Revitalization Commission, requesting the closing of <br />Main Street an Founders Day, July 19, 2003. They would like to close Main Street from Indiana <br />Street east to Clay Street from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM on that day. 'They said the only two events <br />they would request the closing of Main Street was Founders Day and Victorian Christmas. <br />Motion was made by Cowl g1 pp AWNi~S 00 PM on Ju1yo19C2 03anfor Founder's Day.
