A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Bryant to approve <br />receiving the following tax distributions from the State of Indiana by automatic deposit: <br />Motor Vehicle Highway, Local Road and Street, Motor Vehicle Highway Accelerated #1, <br />Motor Vehicle Highway Accelerated #2, ABC Gallonage, Cigarette TaxWGeneral Fund, <br />and Cigarette Tax-CCL Motion carried 5-0. <br />A oration was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Worthen to approve <br />the Resolution #6, 2003, Transfer of Funds. Motion carried 5-0. (See attached). <br />Councilman Worthen asked for a clarification on the parking ordinance final draft <br />concerning the wording on antennas and mirrors. Councilman Bryant asked about page <br />two, the wording about street or alley-could it elinunate "publicly maintained by Town" <br />because of the planting strips. Attorney Currens said he would look into these questions. <br />Councilman Worthen said he wanted to bring the ordinance up for discussion at the next <br />meeting. <br />Jeff Scalf appeared before the Council and told them he wanted to put them on official <br />notice that in the Sunday Indianapolis Star illustrating a story on John Dillenger, the <br />Council President Toby Do1en found it necessary to damage my license trademark by <br />making unlawful, malicious, and statement with malice that he knew not to be true from <br />prior discussions. When the Indianapolis Star asked him if the Town was going to do <br />anything to commemorate John Dillenger's 100' birthday, he said and I quote," We are <br />not going to commemorate a murderer and a thief and that's what he was." Mr. Scalf said <br />that the Star went on to mention that actually despite his gang's reputation far violence, <br />Dillenger was never proven to have killed anyone and this was knowledge that Mr. Dalen <br />had thru prior conversations that he had with Mr. Dolen in January of 20.02. Mr. Scalf <br />said he did want the Town Council to take this very serious, it is damage to a trademark <br />and he would look to the Town Council to take legal measures to deal with Mr. Dolen. <br />Councilman "Worthen presented a dual response agreement with Brvwn Township and <br />Mooresville Fire Departments (see attached). A motion was made by Councilman Clark, <br />second by Councilman Worthen to to approve the Dual Response Agreement. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />Animal Control officer, Mark Taylor, reported nineteen (19) calls, seven (7) impounds, <br />and six (6) returns. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Worthen, second by Councilman Clark to approve <br />payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, a motion <br />was made by Councilman Bryant, second by Councilman Worthen to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at <br />6:30 P.
