A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Bryant to approve receiving the following tax distributions from the State of Indiana by automatic deposit: Motor Vehicle Highway, Local Road and Street, Motor Vehicle Highway Accelerated #1, Motor Vehicle Highway Accelerated #2, ABC Gallonage, Cigarette TaxWGeneral Fund, and Cigarette Tax-CCL Motion carried 5-0. A oration was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Worthen to approve the Resolution #6, 2003, Transfer of Funds. Motion carried 5-0. (See attached). Councilman Worthen asked for a clarification on the parking ordinance final draft concerning the wording on antennas and mirrors. Councilman Bryant asked about page two, the wording about street or alley-could it elinunate "publicly maintained by Town" because of the planting strips. Attorney Currens said he would look into these questions. Councilman Worthen said he wanted to bring the ordinance up for discussion at the next meeting. Jeff Scalf appeared before the Council and told them he wanted to put them on official notice that in the Sunday Indianapolis Star illustrating a story on John Dillenger, the Council President Toby Do1en found it necessary to damage my license trademark by making unlawful, malicious, and statement with malice that he knew not to be true from prior discussions. When the Indianapolis Star asked him if the Town was going to do anything to commemorate John Dillenger's 100' birthday, he said and I quote," We are not going to commemorate a murderer and a thief and that's what he was." Mr. Scalf said that the Star went on to mention that actually despite his gang's reputation far violence, Dillenger was never proven to have killed anyone and this was knowledge that Mr. Dalen had thru prior conversations that he had with Mr. Dolen in January of 20.02. Mr. Scalf said he did want the Town Council to take this very serious, it is damage to a trademark and he would look to the Town Council to take legal measures to deal with Mr. Dolen. Councilman "Worthen presented a dual response agreement with Brvwn Township and Mooresville Fire Departments (see attached). A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Worthen to to approve the Dual Response Agreement. Motion carried 5-0. Animal Control officer, Mark Taylor, reported nineteen (19) calls, seven (7) impounds, and six (6) returns. A motion was made by Councilman Worthen, second by Councilman Clark to approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Bryant, second by Councilman Worthen to adjourn the meeting.
