Perry, Clerk-Treasurer November 17, 2009 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in Executive Session at 5:30 P. M. at the Mooresville <br /> Government Center to discuss personnel. Council members Jeff Cook, Tony Langley, John L. <br /> Clark, and Ryan Goodwin were present. Marls Harris was absent. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br /> November 17, 2009 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday,November 17, 2009, at 6:30 <br /> P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Council members present were: Vice President Jeff Cools, John L. Clark, Ryan Goodwin, and <br /> Tony Langley. Council President Marls Harris was absent. Town attorney Tim CwTens was <br /> present. <br /> Councilman Ryan Goodwin gave the invocation. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Goodwin to approve <br /> the minutes of November 3, 2009. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Pat Lashbrook, 409 Tavistock Drive, informed the council they thought there should be a better <br /> way to communicate with residents concerning street work, in this case paving, as to When the <br /> work would be occurring. She said she had left her home in the morning and couldn't see any <br /> signs posted. It had been raining and they were facing toward the street on her mailbox. Her <br /> daughter had her car towed so that paving could be completed and she had to pay$100 for <br /> towing. She wanted the council to be aware of this problem. The council will notify the paving <br /> company and see how communication can be done better,_ <br /> David Stegman, Roberson Woods Association, appeared before the council about trees in the <br /> placating area. The trees are Bradford Pear trees and some homeowners have kept the limbs <br /> trimmed. The roots have caused the sidewalks to rise up. Some residents are not willing to take <br /> care of the trees. He has come to the council looking for answers. Joe Beikinan, Street <br /> Superintendent told the council the trees had been planted on the Town's right of ways. Some <br /> are so huge they can't be trimmed. Attorney Currens will look at the plats with Joe Beilanan and <br /> David Stegman to see what could be done. <br /> A letter from Benefit Resources concerning parking was tabled to the next meeting with a <br /> motion by Councilman Goodwin and a second by Councilman Langley. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Street Superintendent, Joe Beilanan, reported to the council he had put Stanley Butrum h-i contact <br /> with IDEM Air Quality concerning Carter Lee. <br />
