A motion to approve Resolution#9, 2009,to declare official intent to reimburse expenditures for <br /> initial outlay from the proceeds of the Bonds for Wastewater expansion was made by <br /> Councilman Goodwin with a second by Councilman Clark. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Fire Chief, Tim Medsker,reported 77 runs with a total of runs for the year at 988. <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-eight(28) calls,twenty-four(24) <br /> impounds, and eleven(11)returns. <br /> Julie Spall asked to speak before the council saying she had known Ryan and his family for a <br /> long time. She was his piano teacher. She said he got good grades in school and was a good <br /> entrepreneur. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Cook with a second by Councilman Clark to approve <br /> payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was made by <br /> Councilman Cook with a second by Councilman Langley to adjourn the meeting. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> j Town Council members present were: President Mark Harris, Vice-President Jeff Cook, John L. <br /> Clark, and Tony Langley. Council member Ryan Goodwin was absent. Town attorney Tim <br /> Curren was present. <br /> Steve Kehrer, The Church at Heartland Crossing, gave the prayer. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to approve <br /> minutes of December 1, 2009 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> n <br /> lli A motion was made to approve a transfer from Unsafe Building Fund line item in General to the <br /> Unsafe Building Fund in the amount of$3,500, Resolution#10, 2009 by Councilman Clark with <br /> ei a second.by Councilman Langley. Motion carried 4-0. <br />.el <br /> Salary Ordinance-2010- Attorney Currens stated since there were no changes from 2009,the <br /> council could approve a signatory for the salary Ordinance. A motion was made by Councilman <br /> Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to approve the Salary Ordinance for 2010. Motion — <br /> carried 4-0. A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to <br /> appoint Mark Harris signatory. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Northwood Elementary Sixth grade students from Scott Fry's class presented Project Citizen. <br /> The project was about silt and erosion. They gave the problem and the solution. The solution <br /> was buffering along banks of rivers and creeks. They have adopted one-half mile along the <br /> creek in Mooresville and were asking for$250.00 to put up a sign for their project. Councilman <br /> Langley asked about the Town going on private property. The answer was if using rip-rap, <br /> c- people would allow the Town on their property. A motion was made by Councilman Clark with <br /> a second by Councilman Langley to pledge $250 for the signage. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
