1016 <br /> A motion to begin the annexation and allow Ms. Sterrett to connect to the sewer, subject to the <br /> normal connection fees was made by Councilman Langley, second by Councilman Mathis. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. <br /> There has also been a request to connect to the town's sewage system from John Wetzel of <br /> Midwestern Engineering who is being contracted by Hart Lake to resolve their sewer issues. The <br /> request was forwarded to both Joe Beikman and Dan Tingle, who both had some concerns. <br /> Comicilman Mathis stated that due to the distance between the town's sewer system and Hart <br /> Lake and the fact that it is probably farther away than the town could ever annex, he would make <br /> a motion to deny the request. The motion was second by Councilman Cook. With Councilman <br /> Langley and President Watkins being in agreement, motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion to approve the transfer of$186,000 from Wastewater Operating to Wastewater <br /> Improvement was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Langley and carried 4-0. <br /> A motion to approve the yearly transfer of$3,500 from the general fund to the unsafe building <br /> Rind, per town ordinance, was made by Councilman Langley, second by Councilman Cook and <br /> carried 4-0. <br /> In other business, Councilman Langley expressed his interest in stepping down as Vice President <br /> for the 2012 year and he made a motion to nominate President Watkins to continue as president. <br /> Motion was second by Councilman Cook and carried 4-0. <br /> Councilman Langley also made a motion to nominate Councilman Mathis as Vice President for <br /> the 2012 year. Motion was second by President Watkins and carried 4-0. <br /> Under legal, Attorney Tim Currens stated that after reviewing a bid for sewer line cleaning and <br /> lining that was opened on September 6th and approved on September 201h pending review, he <br /> would suggest rejecting the bid and reopening the project up for bidding, due to the fact that the <br /> contract had so many add-ons and Joe Beikman has not been able to get in contact with the <br /> company who placed the bid. <br /> A motion to reject the bid for the sewer cleaning and lining and rebid was made by Councilman <br /> Langley and second by Councilman Mathis. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion to discuss and vote on Ordinance 11-2011, restricting parking in town public parking <br /> lots was made by Councilman Mathis and second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion to approve Ordinance 11-2011, restricting parking in town public parking lots between <br /> 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Langley and <br /> carried 4-0. <br /> A motion for the approval of the claims, totaling $293, 975.26, most of which was the payment <br /> of the paving claims, was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Langley. Motion <br /> carried 4-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion was made by <br /> Councilman Langley and second by Councilman Mathis to adjourn the meeting.
