1034 A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Langley to approve Ordinance 8, 2012,J&J Commercial Investments annexation. Motion carried 4-0. A hearing has been published for the Werking annexation on Johnson Road. The annexation would cost the police department an extra$190.00 and the Fire Department an extra$130.00, the Park and Street Departments negligible. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Langley to approve the fiscal plan. Motion carried 4-0. The ordinance hearing is set for the June 19, 2012 meeting. The Wi Fi policy stands with the Park Board. They will give final approval. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve payment of the claims in the amount of$432,033.30. Motion carried 4-0. There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Mathis to adjourn the meeting. Town Council members present were: President George Watkins, Vice-President Mark Mathis, Tony Langley, Virginia Perry, and Jeff Cook. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. George Watkins gave the invocation. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second from Councilwoman Perry to approve the minutes of May 15, 2012. Motion carried 5-0. Clerk-Treasurer, Sandy Perry, gave each of the council documents for the anti nepotism law, 2013 budget preparation, and all new laws relative to towns and cities. First on the agenda was a street closing on East Main Street for Zydeco's and Citizens Bank for Mardi gras on June 21, 2012 from 4 P M to 9 P. M. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Langley to approve. Motion carried 5- 0. A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve Wilhelm Construction pay request#19 in the amount of$467,991.40. Motion carried 5-0.
