ORDINANCE 45 , 2008 <br /> 411 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 9, 2006 <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING DOGS AND CATS <br /> WITHIN THE TOWN OF MOORESVILLE, INDIANA <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council passed Ordinance 9, 2006 <br /> regulating dogs and cats within the Town of Mooresville pursuant <br /> to its authority to legislate local ordinances protecting the <br /> health and safety of the residents of the Town; <br /> WHEREAS, from time to time it becomes necessary to amend <br /> Ordinances to make them compatible with other existing <br /> Ordinances of the Town of Mooresville; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Council <br /> of the Civil Town of Mooresville, that Ordinance 9, 2006 is <br /> amended as follows : <br /> This Amendment pertains to Section 8, "Keeping of Numerous <br /> Dogs and Cats in the Town", Paragraph b. Number of Dogs and Cats <br /> Limited. Section 8 (b) shall be amended to read as follows : <br /> "It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to keep <br /> more than four (4) dogs, cats or other small animals <br /> in total as household pets without the property being <br /> zoned as a kennel . It shall be allowable to keep a <br /> litter of pups or kittens totaling in excess of this <br /> number so long as they are under the age of four (4 ) <br /> months . " <br /> With the exception of the Amendment to Section 8 (b) , all <br /> other provisions of Ordinance 9, 2006 shall remain unchanged and <br /> in full force and affect. <br />
