SECTION X. OVERTIME <br /> All employees of the Town that are not elected officials and not <br /> excluded as supervisors shall receive overtime compensation. <br /> Overtime shall be defined as hours worked in excess of 40 hours <br /> per week. Overtime compensation shall be paid at the rate of 1' <br /> 411 hours of wages for every 1 hour in excess of 40 hours of work per <br /> week. These provisions shall not apply to the Police Chief and <br /> the Assistant Police Chief and the Fire Chief where comp time is <br /> granted to these officers so long as the Federal Fair Labor <br /> Standards Act provisions are met. <br /> Mileage will be paid at $0 . 485 per mile driven by designated <br /> employees for Town business only. <br /> SECTION XII . LONGEVITY SCALE <br /> 0-4 Years $ 0 . 00 <br /> 5-9 Years 500 . 00 $19. 23 <br /> 10-14 Years 1, 000 . 00 38 . 46 <br /> 15-19 Years 1, 500 . 00 57 . 69 <br /> 20 Years and above 2, 000 . 00 76. 92 <br /> All longevity is payable in equal increments over the pay period <br /> for that year. <br /> This longevity scale was added in 2002 and is not additional to <br /> previous longevity amounts being paid but whichever is greater. <br /> Previous longevity pay shall be calculated by multiplying the <br /> number of years employed by the Town of Mooresville by $200 . 00 . <br /> The number of years employed shall be determined by counting the <br /> calendar year an employee was hired as 1 complete year, plus each <br /> successive year the employee has continued to be employed by the <br /> Town, plus the calendar year 1991 (to be treated as 1 additional <br /> year) and adding these 3 figures together to derive the amount of <br /> longevity pay an employee would be entitled to. No employee <br /> shall receive any credit for longevity service after the year <br /> 1991 . <br /> Longevity formula 2002 and thereafter shall be as follows: <br /> longevity pay shall be calculated by using a `longevity scale" <br /> set out at the top of this Section and applying the following <br /> definitions: a year of service shall be calculated by the date <br /> the individual was hired on a full time basis and totaling 365 <br /> days to complete 1 year of service. The adjustment in pay shall <br /> be made annually based upon the number of years of service as of <br /> the employee' s hire date of each calendar year. For the year <br /> 2011 the number of years of service existing as of the employee' s <br /> 411 hire date shall establish the longevity scale of pay for that <br /> employee for the year 2011. <br />
