April 5, 1988 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of Trustees was called to <br />order at 7:30 p.m., April 5, 1988 by Board President Jack Forbes. <br /> Trustees present were Richard Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards and Jack <br />Forbes. Trustee Mike Fiscus was absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to approve the minutes of the previous <br />board meeting as submitted. Trustee Heald second. Motion carried. <br /> A representative of theMooresville Band Parents appeared before the board <br />seeking permission to hold a roadblock on April 30, 1988. Permission was granted <br />on a motion by Trustee Heald. Second by Trustee Overholser. Motion carried. <br /> A representative of the Good Shepherd Baptist Academy appeared before the board <br /> seeking permission to hold a roadblock on April 9, 1988. Permission was granted <br /> on a motion by Trustee Heald. Second by Trustee Overholser. Motion carried. <br /> A representative of Right-To-Life appeared before the board seeking permission <br /> to hold a roadblock on Mmy 14, 1988. Permission was granted on a motion by Trustee <br /> Heald. Second by Trustee Edwards. Motion carried. <br /> Paul Bryant, President of Mooresville Downtown Revitalization appeared before <br /> the board to outline the goals of the Downtown Revitalization Organization. M~. <br /> Bryant asked the board to coordinate any plans the town has for downtown develop- <br /> ment with his organization. He also asked the town to consider a liter ordianance. <br /> Mr. Bryant informed the board the next meeting of the Downtown Revitalization <br /> will be April 21, 1988 at 7:00 p.m. at the Citizens Bank, White Lick Branch. <br /> The following bids for mowing the cemetery for 1988 were opened: <br /> Spina's $500 per mowing <br /> Romer Enterprizes $575 per mowing <br /> Thomas Greenwald $794 perm owing <br /> Greenwald Enterprizes $865 per mowing <br /> <br /> Trustee Healdmade a motion to table the mowing bids until the next regular <br /> scheduled Town Board meeting. Trustee Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> Board Attorney Tim Currens advised the board that Indiana Bell answered <br /> questions the board had concerning a street cut on South Indiana Street. <br /> Trustee Edwards moved to allow the street cut if Indiana Bell patches the cut <br /> and pays for having the area of the street cut paved from Broad Alley to South <br /> Street to meet the specifications of the Street Con, missioner. Trustee Heald <br /> second. Motion carried. <br /> Attorney Cu~rens read Ordinance #5-1988 establishing a four way stop at the <br /> alleys located between South Street and High Street and the second alley inter- <br /> section east of Indiana Street between High and South and between Indiana Street <br /> and the Penn Central Railroad. <br /> Motion to approve Ordinance #5-1988 was made by Trustee Overholser. Second by <br /> Trustee Edwards. Motion carried. <br /> The board was advised by Attorney Currens that the bond market is now feasible <br /> for the town to continue the process of re-issuing the 1984 Sewage Works Bond. <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee Overholser to authorize <br /> Umbaugh and Associates to continue with the process necessary to enable the re- <br /> issuing of the 1984 Sewage Works Bond. Motion carried. <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards authorizing Street Commissioner Joe Beikman <br /> to negotiate with the developers of the property south of Cloverleaf Apartments in <br /> regard to installation of sewer lines at a proper depth to accormnodate future <br /> expansion. Trustee Heald second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
