The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of Trustees will be held <br />Tuesday, December 6, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> President <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> December 6, 1988 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of Trustees was held <br /> Tuesday, December 6, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Trustees present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards and <br /> Jack Forbes. Trustee Mike Fiscus Was absent. <br /> <br /> Dianne Grindean of Century 21 - Abba & Associates, Inc. was granted a rezoning <br /> classification of Professional Office Building for the property located at the <br /> southwest comer of South Indiana Street and West High Street on a motion by <br /> Trustee Overholser and second by Trustee Heald. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The Board received notice from the Indiana State Highway Department that <br /> the traffic study on Indiana 267 and Carlisle Street now warrants a stop. The <br /> board decided that before making a decission on this matter they would like <br /> clarification from the State Highway Department on what kind of stop sign they <br /> plan on installing at this location. <br /> <br /> Street Superintendent Joe Beikman requested the board's concent to purchase a <br /> crack sealer for the streets which will cost approximately $8,500.00. The <br /> board agreed to this purchase. <br /> <br /> Trustee Overholser informed the board that the awnings which had been on <br /> the front of Town Hall have been removed. There being no objections from the <br /> board, the awnings will be scrapped. <br /> <br /> The board agreed to repalce the sidewalk on the northwest comer of Indiana <br /> Street and Washington Street next spring. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee Overholser to <br /> allow town engineer Bill Abbott to inspect the police garage to see if it would <br /> be feasible to construct a second floor storage addition to that structure. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker presented to the board a <br /> revised precinct map for Brown Township. The revisions proposed nine precincts <br /> in Brown Township, consisting of five precincts inside the Town of Mooresville <br /> and four precincts outside of the Town of Mooresville. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Overholser and second by Trustee Edwards to <br /> approve the precinct revisions as submitted. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Fire Chief Jim Bruner advised the board that the federal government has <br /> mandated owners of under ground fuel tanks that they must either use them, <br /> fill them properly or escavate them. <br /> <br /> Trustee Edwards instructed the Clerk-Treasurer to write Governor-elect --% <br /> Evan Bayh in regard to the possibility of allowing municipalities to bid <br /> their own retirement programs. <br /> <br /> Trustee Edwards also advised the Clerk-Treasurer to contact Aetna Insurance <br /> Company regarding the premium increases for 1989. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald to appropriate $7,500.00 for the county <br /> animal control program contingent on the participation of other government <br /> entities in the county. Trustee Edwards second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
