Motion was made by Trustee Forbes and second by Trustee Overholser to approve <br /> Ordinance ~/1-1989 to rezone 108-110 N. Indiana St. from residential to local business. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Board President Fiscus re-appointed Dick Newcomer to the Economic Development <br /> Co,~nission. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee Overholser to re-appoint <br /> all department heads to their current positions. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The board discussed the need to televise the sewer lines on Nelson Drive. <br /> <br /> Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the board that Citizens <br /> Economic <br /> Bank has purchased the building on the northeast comer of Main St. and Indiana <br /> St. with plans to develop a downtown park and parking area. <br /> <br /> Judge Frank Knight advised the board that the court generated $67,530.00 for <br /> the town general fund in 1988. <br /> <br /> Fire Chief Jim Bruner appeared before the board to request $16,000.00 from <br /> Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for a computer and software for the Fire Department. <br /> <br /> Town Clerk-Treasurer Ann Whaley advised the board there is $26,408.52 left in <br /> Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. $5,000.00 of those funds will be designated to the <br /> Senior Center through an additional appropriation. The board was also advised that <br /> there will be a need to appropriate some of these funds for maintaining the cemetery <br /> this sumner. <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer Whaley also advised the board it is necessary to get an additional <br /> appropriation of $100,000.00 for the pool project. <br /> <br /> The board advised the Clerk-Treasurer to check with other towns that own their <br /> cemeteries to see how they fund the maintenance cost. <br /> <br /> A decision on an additional appropriation for cemetery maintenance was tabled <br />until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> The board scheduled an Executive session of the Mooresville Town Board of <br />Trustees for Friday, January 6, 1989 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Forbes and second by Trustee Heald to approve the bills <br />and claims. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Judge Knight introduced Mr. Dave Rogers, the new owner of radio station WCBK <br />to the board. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Board of <br />Trustees at this time motion was made to adjourn by Trustee Heald, second by Trustee <br />Overholser.
