January 5, 1988 The January 5, 1988 meeting of the Mooresville Town Board Trustees was called to order by President Richard Heald at 7:30 p.m. Trustees present were Steve Edwards, Pat Overholser, Mike Fiscus, Richard Heald and Jack Forbes. The minutes of the December 22, 1988 were approved as submitted. Bids for a front end loader from the following companies were opened by Board Attorney Tim Currens: Reid-Holcomb Co., Inc. $61,771.75 John Deere Front End Loader Model 544E Dabney Equipment Co. $58,921.50 J.T. Case Wheel Loader Model W20C Kitchen Machinery, Inc. $59,441.45 Fiat Allis Model FR-10B Karte Brothers, Inc. $61,956.75 Trojan Model 1900Z Front End Loader Mac Allister Machinery Co., Inc. $64,224.10 Caterpillar Model 926E Wheel Loader Rudd Equipment $85,602.80 VME Michigan Model L-90 Wheel Loader The board tabled awarding the bid to enable Street Superintendent Joe Beikman an opportunity to review the bids with the bid to be awarded later in the meeting. Motion was made by Mike Fiscus and second by Jack Forbes to accept the planning commission's recommendation to the t ~ Town Board of Trustee's to rezone the Westenhofer property on the corner of Harlen Dr. & Bridge Street from residential to general business. Motion carried. Board Attorney Tim Currens advised the board it was necessary to reorganize the board at this time. Jack Forbes was nominated for Town Board President by Steve Edwards, Pat Overholser second. Motion carried. Pat Overholser nominated Mike Fiscus for Vice-President of the Town Board of Trustees. Richard Heald second. Motion carried. Richard Heald thanked the board for their help during his year as President and turned the meeting over to President Forbes. Motion was made by Steve Edwards to accept the appointment of Curt Wilcher to the Economic Development Commission from 1988-1990. Pat Overholser second. Motion carried. President Forbes announced the following appointments: Park Board Jim Shaw 1988-1992 Board of Zoning Appeals Steve Aschman 1988-1992 ~ Planning Commission Steve Edwards 1988-1991 William Abbott David Berry · Joel Beebe Motion was made by Pat Overholser and second by Richard Heald to reappoint George Ditton Mooresville Police Chief. Motion carried.
