The money flows thru the Town but <br /> Redevelopment will spend the money. A motion was made Councilman Watkins <br /> to recommend the Town participate with the understanding the Redevelopment <br /> Commission has pledged the money. Councilman Langley made the second. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Opening the quotes for Town Court/Fire Administration building- <br /> All Tech Midwest LLC- $23,748.43 <br /> Dream Builders - $24,205.13 <br /> Dave Moore, Street Superintendent, looked over the quotes during the rest of the <br /> meeting. <br /> Updates from the Police Department-Councilwoman Perry asked questions of Sue <br /> Kays, Police Commission member, about the K-9. Sue said they were not going to <br /> go into this project until funds are available. Interim Chief, Danny Allen, said they <br /> do not know how many dogs they will get when monies become available. Other <br /> costs are vet bills, and food. Kennels and training are free. The police are now <br /> soliciting funds to pay for the dog or dogs. They have $1,000 so far. Swat team <br /> requests: $720 per member for uniforms, $1,000 for each swat member includes <br /> membership and ammunition. The commander says vests, weapons, and <br /> equipment is available. Councilwoman Perry wants better communication <br /> between the council and the police commission. <br /> Dave Moore recommended All Tech Midwest. A motion was made by <br /> Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve Dave's <br /> recommendation. <br /> Other business: Mark Taylor ask council to strengthen the ordinance for dogs. <br /> This will be discussed at the next meeting. <br /> No legal: <br /> A motion was made by Councilwoman Perry with a second by Councilman Langley <br /> to approve claims payment of$439,018.49.
