June 17, 2014 1149 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, <br /> at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Council members present: President Mark Mathis, Vice-President Virginia Perry, <br /> Tony Langley, George Watkins, and Jeff Cook. All members were present. <br /> Attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> Mark Mathis gave the prayer. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman <br /> Perry to approve the minutes of June 3, 2014. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Chris Gale, HNTB, reported the wastewater expansion is now completed and <br /> working well. There are a few outstanding items to finish but the contractor is <br /> waiting on parts. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman <br /> Perry to approve pay request#35 and 36, one for $595.00 and one for $60,000 <br /> retainage plus interest. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilman Cook to <br /> approve a change order with a credit of $18,742.40. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman <br /> Perry to approve the final certification of completion and designate President <br /> Mathis as signatory. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> CF-1's—Chelsey Mann, Morgan County Economic Development Director, <br /> presented Angermeir-Wathen (Capital Adhesives) Resolution 12, 2011. The <br /> company was $5,000 under estimated investment, but over on estimated jobs <br /> added. Twenty six employees are Morgan County residents. A motion was made <br /> by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve the CF- <br /> 1. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> General Shale CF-1- Real property Resolution 4, 2006. The company has 44 <br /> employees with 2.3 million in salaries. They are just shy of meeting production. <br /> Thirty of the employees are Morgan County residents. A motion was made 5 — <br /> Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve the CF-1. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> General Shale-Resolution 4, 2006 personal property. Manufacturing equipment <br /> came I at 24.4 million, two million over projected. A motion was made by <br /> Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve CF-1. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> TOA-Real property-Resolution 2, 2013, estimated investment was 5.2 million and <br /> they came in at 6.7 million. A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a <br /> second by Councilwoman Perry to approve real property CF-1. Motion carries 5- <br /> 0. <br /> TOA personal property-Resolution 2, 2013, jobs added are 106 instead of the <br /> estimated 20 on the SB-1. They are just shy of the manufacturing equipment total <br /> estimated. A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second by <br /> Councilwoman Perry to approve the CF-1. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
