<br />t <br /> <br />B-1 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE jL, 1998 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, IC 5-22 (the "Act") applies to every expenditure of public funds by a <br />governmental body; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Town of Mooresville (the "Town") is a governmental body under <br />the Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Act authorizes the Town to establish a purchasing agency for the Town; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town desires to establish a purchasing agency for the Town; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF <br />MOORESVILLE, INDIANA: <br /> <br />Section I. The Town Council Purchasing Agency (the "Purchasing Agency") IS <br />established as the purchasing agency for the Town. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Purchase Agency shall have all the powers and duties authorized under <br />lc 5-22, as may be supplemented from time to time by ordinances adopted by the Council and <br />policies adopted by the Purchasing Agency. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Purchasing Agency shall act as the purchasing agency for every agency, <br />board, office, branch, bureau, commission, council, department or other establishment of the <br />Town. <br /> <br />Section 4. The Purchasing Agency may designate in writing as any employee of Town <br />as a purchasing agent. <br /> <br />Section 5.
