<br />- <br />".. <br /> <br />0;)"'" <br />!>~ <br />RESOLUTION ,~ , 1996 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR TIlE ABOLITION OF <br />TIiE OFFICE OF TOWN MARSHALL <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town Council is the legislative body for the Civil Town of Mooresville; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to IC 36-8-9-2 the Town Council has the authority to adopt a <br /> <br />resolution providing for the abolition of the office of Town Marshall and to establish a Board <br /> <br />of Metropolitan Police Commissioners after this issue is certified to the County Election Board <br /> <br />under IC 3-10-9-3 as a public question to be placed upon the ballot to be submitted to the voters <br /> <br />of the Town in the general election to be held in November, 1996; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Civil Town of Mooresville adopts this <br /> <br />Resolution providing for the abolition of the office of the Town Marshall and the establishment <br /> <br />of a Board of Metropolitan Police commissioners and further resolves that the following question <br /> <br />shall be certified to the County Election Board under IC 3-10-9-3 and submitted to the voters <br /> <br />of the Town at the general election in November, 1996, namely: <br /> <br />"Shall a Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners be established and the <br /> <br />office of Town Marshall be abolished?" <br /> <br />This Resolution passed by the Town Council of the Civil Town of Mooresville at its <br /> <br />meeting held July I, 1996 and the same being in full force and effect as of the date of passage. <br /> <br />Mooresville Town Council <br /> <br /> <br />Mark <br /> <br />~2 <br />. /Ú.,L-( 9 ¿M~ <br />Sandra Perry, Clerk/Treasurer <br />
